La critique
The world’s foremost composer of Tango music.
Stephen Holden, The New York Times, 6 July 1992
Now, this is Piazzolla. Don’t ever leave him.
Nadia Boulanger, Paris, 1954, Fernando González, Global Arts Live
There’s a lot of nerve in Piazzolla. It can be brutal, violent, and it can be incredibly romantic or sad.
James Crabb, Australian Chamber Orchestra, January 2022
For me, tango was always for the ear rather than the feet.
Astor Piazzolla, Australian Chamber Orchestra, January 2022
